Honor is a driven high school senior whose primary goal is to get into Harvard, presuming she first obtains the desired recommendation from her guidance counsellor, Mr. Calvin. Honor, willing to go to any length, devises a Machiavellian strategy to eliminate her top three student opponents, until she unexpectedly falls for her strongest rival, Michael.
If you look at all of the advertising material for Oran Zegman’s Honor Society, you may assume it’s just a pleasant and lovely coming-of-age high-school comedy with nothing else to offer. In actuality, it is all of that, but it also contains some shockingly dark and emotionally charged content that caught me completely off guard.
